UPDATES POSTED REGULARLY.  SEE TOUR PAGE.  LAST UPDATE OCT 23

This blog chronicles the ride of 3 senior guys who are riding over 3,000 miles from San Diego, Ca to St Augustine, Fl from September to December 2021 (six wheels).

Their dream and passion for biking has brought them together on this mission.  At least one friend (ha ha, I'm the plus) will join them for parts of the ride.

How did they meet?  Through Adventure Cycling Companions Wanted section.  https://www.adventurecycling.org/adventure-cyclist/companions-wanted/

The terrain is challenging with climbs over the Tecate Divide (4,140, feet) in California followed by several days in the desert at the Imperial San Dunes.

It has mountain passes and climbing in Arizona (4,974 ft), climbing over 2,600 feet to 6,378 feet in Silver City, New Mexico.

Texas will bring them in to hill country, while they will find flatter roads meandering through piney woods,  bayous, along farmlands and woodlots, and past the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Ocean.

Follow them on their journey from preparatory rides to traveling updates.
